Jeanne Newman is a graduate from Connecticut College and received her J.D. from University of Southern California Law Center. She began her legal career as an associate in the entertainment department at Loeb & Loeb. Ms. Newman served as an executive for television business affairs at various companies including MGM, and afterwards joined Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren & Richman, L.L.P. in 1988. Ms. Newman primarily represents production companies, writers, performers and directors in the television and motion picture businesses. She works with content creators such as Lee Daniels (“Empire”, “Star”, “The Butler”, “Precious”), Amy Sherman Palladino (“The Marvelous Mrs.Maisel”, “Gilmore Girls”), Matthew Weiner (“Mad Men”), among others. Some of Ms. Newman’s non-scripted production companies are Endemol (“Big Brother”, “MasterChef”), All 3 Media (“Undercover Boss”), Mike Fleiss (“The Bachelor”) and Talpa Media (“The Voice”). Ms. Newman is a mother of three grown children. She and her husband Gary own and operate Jorian Hill Vineyards in the Santa Ynez Valley where they produce Rhone varietals.
